Fading Memory

"Fading Memory"
acrylic on birch panel
4.75 x 4.75 inches framed to 7.5 x 7.5 inches
$250.00
2016
**SOLD**

Here's my little foxy-corn for tonight's Unicorn show opening in NY at Gristle Gallery.
The show was curated by the very talented Zoë Williams, and a portion of the proceeds will go to saola (real life unicorns of Laos and Vietnam!) conservation efforts.

This little baby foxy-corn is surrounded by poppies, which represent forgetfulness, oblivion and evanescent pleasure in Floriography, the Victorian era Language of Flowers.

I will also have the above two mini paintings, pins, and Häxa tank dresses available for purchase at the show, part of the proceeds also going to the saola!

The show opens tonight at 7 and will be online as well in the coming days.

The Wish

"The Wish"

A fawnicorn (mix of unicorn and fawn) sits among foxglove flowers, (which represent "a wish" in Floriography, the Victorian era language of flowers) while the white moth that she made her wish upon flies up to the moonlit, starry sky.
